Brian Mittman has been representing workers injured on the job since 1995. He limits his practice to Worker’s Compensation Claims, Social Security Disability Claims and other Disability related matters (NYS Retirement Disabilities, NYC Disability Pensions and other disability cases), helping to get past the daily changes and obstacles placed before injured workers and their families.

Brian Mittman adopted New York as his home state after attending the University of Rochester (Political Science Degree – Cum Laude) then following his wife to New York City to attend Brooklyn Law School. He is the father of four and is an avid ice hockey player (taking up the sport at the age of 32!). He is on the Board of Directors of the Worker’s Compensation Alliance, the Executive Committee of the Injured Workers Bar Association, and a member of multiple associations including the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, Westchester County Bar Association, Bronx County Bar Association, and many others.

Brian is also active in numerous charities including a Board of Director of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire Memorial (scholarships for children of injured and deceased workers) and the Pediatric Cancer Foundation (www.pcfweb.org - raising money for on-hands research of childhood cancer)

Scott Daniels is originally from the Philadelphia area, and graduated from Touro Law Center in 2006. He has a broad range of expertise in the area of Federal Social Security Disability and has conducted hundreds of disability hearings across the country.

Prior to graduation, Mr. Daniels was a Summer Law Intern for the Honorable Linda K. Caracappa, United States Magistrate Judge in Philadelphia, PA. Before joining Markhoff & Mittman, Mr. Daniels practiced extensively in the area of plaintiff’s civil litigation. He specializes in Federal Social Security Disability, New York State Disability, Long Term Disability, Personal Injury and Accidents and General Litigation.

He is a member of the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives and the New York State Bar Association.
